Here is another possible reason why Mark is hanging around:
Mark suggested that he was ending his full time gig in order to help his son, Matt, in his racing career. However, in the time since, Matt has decided that he doesn't see auto racing as his future vocation.
Maybe Mark is thinking about staying around in order to mentor some young driver who has the ability and the desire to learn at the feet of one of racing's best?
But, maybe I'm very wrong...?
