Let The MADNESS Begin!

Dale Junior FINALLY wins a points race!

Wait... but he passed the PACE CAR under caution!

Why wasn't he penalized?

Because NASCAR WANTED Dale Junior to win, especially on FATHER'S DAY! (The "X-Files" theme song begins to play in the background...)

Allow me to get the ball rolling. Admittedly, I am a Dale Junior fan and am very pleased that he finally won one. God knows he works hard enough week in and week out and finally, luck met opportunity and created success!

I wonder how many HARD-CORE Dale Junior fans SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTED when he crossed the finish line today?!?

I'm waiting with anticipation for the market to open in the morning. Junior's win should be good for at least a 100 point jump on the DOW!

Re: Let The MADNESS Begin!

By the way, Bob, what happened to "En Vino Veritas"???

aka: "In Wine, the Truth" (or something like that)

So, if wine = the truth then...

Politicians need to drink more wine!

Re: Let The MADNESS Begin!

Brian Vickers told to back off in the final laps or he was going to be black flagged?

I do feel bad for the Junior nation though, Jr finally wins but instead of a nose to nose photo finish against Kyle Busch or Denny Hamlin he wins under a caution and then to add insult to injury not enough gas for a victory burnout.

Oh well, congrats to JR and Jr nation for their long awaited victory. Now go out and celebrate you crazy dogs you!!

Talk about madness!

I hope that you don't drink beer or Fivebucks (Oops! Starbucks) coffee.

If our illustrious "leaders" (term used very loosely) think windfall profits'll drop fuel prices I'd like to see them take on Starbucks and the breweries. By my rough and quick (prone to error) calculations we're paying around $16/gallon for beer and around $79/gallon for Starbucks!

The government not allowing more refineries to be built, plus not allowing new nuke power isn't helping the fuel prices one darn bit!

I'd rather run on beer than starbucks..... I had the displeasure of visitin a local starsmucks Sat.... I only went cause the wife got a giftcard from a friend. I asked for a sweet tea, and they said what kind of sweet tea... Apparently the woman understood from the look I gave her that I wanted a sweet tea, not some three name flavored crap.

I would like to find out what happened there. He was pretty upset about it in his interview.

The only thing I heard, Don, was that he was mad because he had to start behind Mark martin on the last restart. He claims he passed martin way before the yellow came out.

I know of nothing else.

I lucked into winning the IRL picks, over in the Motorsports Forum. I was ready for a change. I was torn between the Curmudgeon thing and splendide mendax. But since the last one is a lie I went with curmudgeon. <G>

FYI, En vino veritas freely translates to "In wine there is truth."

That segues to your following:

If you give good drink to a politician, doesn't that constitute alcohol abuse?
