Although I dislike Hallmark holidays, and yes this is one, a very Happy Father's Day to all you Daddy's out there. Told my kids to nix the cards (waste of good money) and gifts. I'm getting rid of stuff now. Why do I want more. Besides ... I'm a father everyday. not just today !!!

Bob, I feel the same way. This is my first Father's Day without Dad, but I have to share a great moment we had today. We gathered at my sister's to celebrate the day, and my step mother brought balloons for all the grand kids. The kids let those balloons fly "up to Grampa" so he could catch them and celebrate with us. It was an amazing sight and will now be our Father's Day tradition. I have to believe there's an old racer with #99 on his helmet up there somewhere holding a giant bouquet of balloons. Here's wishing all dad's, past and present, a wonderful day.
