| Mrs. Harvick and her #@!#*@ hat This is the first thread I've started in this forum; I was hoping for something a bit more positive... Is there anyway that it can be brought to Kevin Harick wife's attention that it is considered inappropriate to not remove ones hat during invocations, taps and the National Anthem? This is the second time I've seen her disrespect God, our flag, and now she gives a proverbial bird to our war dead. Kind of puts her in the company of The Dixie Twits. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! After 22 years in the Navy, this type of behaviour gets to my last remaining nerve.

| I agree she should've taken off her hat! While we're on this subject, another thing that really ticks me off was a couple years ago we went to the Bristol day race. It was right after the Us went to war with Iraq, the lady was singing the National Anthem, and some idiot behind us would not SHUT UP! This idiot talked thru the ENTIRE National Anthem!

| Re: Mrs. Harvick and her #@!#*@ hat Hey I am all for reverence during the Star Spangled Banner...respect for the flag...and honoring those who served... But why is it done at Sporting Events? Just Curious...I am all for it in schools...want kids to learn such things...but its not played when I go into work in the morning...why is it played at a game?...unless its like the Olympics were you are representing your country...Just asking???? But while we are at it...Athletes that drap the flag and drag it all over the ground...that gets on my nerves as well... |
