| ABC Family - The Circuit ABC Family: The Circuit (200 Did anybody see this made by Hollywood representation of NASCAR. I little heavy on the cheese. A little sexually oriented for ABC Family Channel I can't help but wonder how close to the bone they hit. The young hot beautiful sexy female driver doing the photo shoot on the track with her suit opened in the front. AKA Danica Patrick ala SI Swimsuit edition. Meetings to market their drivers, manipulating the drivers etc. Anybody see this movie?

No, and after watching the preview I don't think I will ever be watching it. |

| Re: ABC Family - The Circuit Apologize in advance for what may seem as "presenting basis for knowledge", "credentials" or however else this may be defined. We trained novice/rookie drivers and teams for multipe years. Ages 5 - 18. OK that's over. You (the "big" you, not the personal "you") need to totally ignore this offering as it will remove you (the "big" you again) from anything approaching understanding of the youthful involvement, experience, interest, heartbreaks, successes, et al, of motorsports. Do seek to learn more always, just DO NOT at any level or in any way accept this as a path or vehicle toward knowledge and/or reality. But what do we know. |

| Re: ABC Family - The Circuit Sorry. I try and stay away from "The Estrogen Channel" (a.k.a. ABC TV) as much as I can. Look at the line up: The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Men in Trees, Pushing Daisies, Samatha Who, Super Nanny, Wife Swap, Ugly Betty, Dancing with the Stars... Whenever ABC is the only channel I can receive I feel as though I'm trapped in The Lifetime Channel with news. Testosterone is in short supply in ABC prime time. Ergo, I doubt if I'll catch the movie in question.

| Re: ABC Family - The Circuit Quote:
Watching "chick flick" shows is just something I don't get into. It doesn't make them bad, nor does it taint the people who watch them. It's like liver, it's just something I don't care to indulge in. It's basically a gender thing. Unlike many of today's boys, I never played with dolls as a kid either (Sorry, G.I. Joe is a doll, I don't care if the PC term is "Action Figure"). I was just commenting on the rather "sensitive" programing ABC has elected to air. FYI, I did watch "Dancing..." a few times in its first season when they actually ballroom danced. If fact, if you remember, Jerry Springer was quoted as saying he accepted the invitation in order to learn to dance at his daughter's wedding. Now, the show is just a amateur version of the Broadway show, A Chorus Line, except it's in desperate need of Bob Fosse or Gower Champion. Sorry you took my comments about The Estrogen Channel personal. Would it help if I referred to SPIKE as The Testosterone Channel? Equal perceived insults and all? If I offended deeply, I apologize. But, ask your hubby if that lineup isn't just a little bit ... womanly? I know nothing about the Oxygen Channel; I admit to never have heard of it. But, going on the trend of your post, I'd guess I'd just as soon be tired to a chair in front of a TV tuned to the Cartoon Channel or Nicklelodian or MTV. I can think of fewer punishments this side of Hell than that. Can we stay friends? <G> Lately it seems I'm not making, nor keeping many. |

| Re: ABC Family - The Circuit I'm just messin' with ya a little bit, Bob. We will absolutely remain friends. My husband only watches "Dancing..." because he's eagerly anticipating the day Edita's costume falls completely off. It's just a matter of time. I don't watch any of the other shows, and I can't stand the Oxygen channel. I've actually gotten a kick out of a few shows on Spike, but I usually have the Speed channel on. Wow, maybe I'm one of those poor transgendered people! |

I say pretty much what I'm thinking and have a [bad?] habit of not putting diplomacy at the forefront of my statements. This, and not being PC, turn off a lot of good folks and has actually earned me a permanent <IGNORE> with more than a couple of our members. It takes a special talent to tolerate someone as judgemental and opinionated as I. My hat is eternally off to anyone who can manage it. Thanks for the response. I have no idea who "Edita" is but if she's anything like Janet Jackson, watching the 167th rerun of Law & Order would probably be more titillating (pun not intended). FYI, my TV is tuned to HISTORY, DISCOVERY, HGTV or TRAVEL much, much more than any of the others, including SPEED. |
