Junior achievement


Dale Earnhardt Jr. will make his 300th consecutive Cup Series start this weekend. He has started 303 career races, and has not missed one since the last race of the 1999 season. Earnhardt is enjoying his new ride with Hendrick Motorsports. In 12 career races with the sport's mega team, he has finished in the top 10 nine times, including four top-fives. He is third in the standings. A year ago at this time, in his final year with Dale Earnhardt Inc., he was 13th in the points. -- Denver Post
