It might be cost prohibitive. Sponsors are tough enough to come by now. I can't see many big sponsors coming forward to support a bunch of has beens.

My thoughts exactly. Bill Elliott is out there now making a fool of himself. Can you see King Richard out there, Ned Jarrett ??

How much would you pay to see these guys out there ? No thanks on my part. I'd rather stand in line for an autograph from Bobby Allison than watch him try to get in a car. They'd have to put doors that open on some of the cars !!!

I'm not trying to sound like a smart-can but when someone offers Elliott mega bucks to come and drive ... why would he say no ? Thank Gawd no one from my former place of employment has asked me to return. I'd really enjoy telling them where to go but it would be a waste of my very valuable time.

The Old School Racing Series was supposed to start this year but sponsorship problems have them postponing till next year........hopefully

IROC only had 6-12 drivers at any given time. How much smaller do you want to go ??

Not the number of drivers, smaller scale as in keep the sponsors at a minimum and have one big one.

How do you propose to fund this series if you keep the sponsors to a minimum ??? Tickets sales may be good initially but that'll wane away before you know it.

Good question, I don't know. How did they fund IROC? Did/does that series work or was/is it profitable?

I don't know if a SR series would even work. Heck I dont' know if people would even like it. I was just throwing things out there.
