Happy Mother's Day!!!

My favorite line regarding mothers comes from the movie "JFK" (and I'm paraphrasing...)

"Your DADDY is your DADDY 'cause your MOMMA says it's so?!?"

To all moms reading this in NASCAR Nation: Thank you! I am a son and aside from the fact that I'm so grateful for being born male, I have a mom whom I thank God for each and every day! I think one of the most difficult jobs is that of raising children and let's face it, moms have the lion's share of this job...

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms here and elsewhere.

I was lucky enough to have my mom around for almost 60 years of my life. Though she barely stood 5 feet tall, she was quick to put each of her four over 6' tall sons (and my equally tall dad) in their place when she thought they stepped out of line and she was the first one to whom we went with our troubles. Her optimism and energy in everything she did plus the love and kindness she showed to everyone shaped my outlook on life. And her encouraging hugs and loving pats are memories I'll treasure forever. Yes, I was very lucky to receive my mother's love for so many years.
