Darlington Stripes

Watching todays' practice at Darlington showed several cars sporting the famed "Darlington stripes" with only a few laps of practice. I hope there's enough stripes to go around. Otherwise, some cars may end up "crashing" before qualifying starts.

Re: Darlington Stripes

I was just noticing all the cars that had hit it too. Looks like an interesting race is in place for Sat.

Re: Darlington Stripes

Add the speed of the new surface and probably a lot smoother and those guys probably think they are superman out there. I am sure the race is going to humble several people like it usually does.

Going to be a great race.

Re: Darlington Stripes

Anybody want to guess how many drivers leave the track without a stripe? I say 17.

I will guess only 5 Sprint Cup cars will complete the weekend at Darlington without a Darlington stripe. Somebody needs to keep count. Maybe NASCAR has a "stripe counter".

Re: Darlington Stripes

After watching the busch race I'm thinking I'm way off on saying 17 won't get one. Your 5 sounds about right.
