Re: Do You Support NASCAR and Their Sponsors

Thats me, I don't like JJ but if Lowes has what I'm looking for cheaper than Home Depot, then I go to Lowes.

Re: Do You Support NASCAR and Their Sponsors

I don't directly support NASCAR sponsors by buying their products, at least, any more than I would otherwise...

However, I do inderectly support the sponsors when I wear the hat of my favorite driver, and it has their logo on it. Probably a small liscencing fee goes to the sponsor, and they get the extra advertisement of me wearing their logo everywhere I go.

I swear, though... I live in seattle and last week someone asked me if I worked for Home Depot. I wasn't even AT a home depot when they asked it.

Hopefully I can get my hands on a Kyle Busch hat soon.

Ditto. I don't let ANYBODY influence where I spend my money or what I spend it on.

Re: Do You Support NASCAR and Their Sponsors

In a single word, no.

I buy whatever product I like the best, does the best job, is the most dependable, and is the best value for the money.

I have worked too hard for the money I have accumulated to spend it based even partly on what driver/team/sport endorses.

I do, however, try and buy American-owned company products whenever I have a choice of equal goods and one is American and the other is foreign.

I even take this a step farther. I absolutely refuse to wear, let alone buy, any piece of wearing apparel with a mfg or a company logo on it.

My rationale: Let's take Lowes, for example, but it could be Toyota, Jack Daniels, Crown Royale, or AllTel. These companies pay vast somes of money for TV, radio and billboard advertising. So, if they want their name or product put in front of the public pray tell me why I should wear something with the logo on it for free? And by what line of reasoning should I pay, with my own hard-earned money, for the product with the logo on it?

If Home Depot wants me to wear a shirt with the Home Depot name on it them let them give me the shirt and pay me $50 a year to wear it once a week. It's a bargain.

Yes and no,

I will if the price is right.

I had to renew insurance this week. I went to check allstate. If price would have been higher than my current insurance, I would not have signed on

I don't spend my money with any company that supports the toyota crap, if at all possible.

Re: Do You Support NASCAR and Their Sponsors

I guess I'd have to say that I don't (consciously) buy brands that support NASCAR. Instead I make my choice based on how I perceive the quality and price based on what I intend it for. for somethings the price is the most important while other things quality is the most important. for instance, I find little difference between the offerings at Home Depot and Lowes, so I use them equally .. or not.

But I prefer M&M's to all other "pill" type candies .. not because they sponsor a car, but because I like them most. And, though I didn't care for Ricky Rudd as a driver, my favorite candy bar is Snickers and have been devouring them since before Mars ever thought of sponsoring a car.

I used Nextel because of the 2-way service (starting long before they became a NASCAR sponsor), and have used most of the cell phone companies at one time or another because of the "deal" I could get with them.

When I smoked, it wasn't Winston. I don't like Miller or Busch beer, but like Coors. I drink Jack Daniels and Jim Beam equally .. but have others I prefer. Fast food places get my business by whether I like their menu, not whose car they sponsor. I haven't found any energy drink I can stomach and am weaning myself off "cokes" (in my case Dr. Pepper) because of my diet (yep, 2 months clean and sober!)

I prefer "premium" tires, and, to me, that doesn't include Goodyear, though I've had exceptional experiences with "cut-rate" brands. I use (Shell) Rotella oil in my truck engine (diesel), Joe Gibbs in my racing engines (used to use Valvoline or Mobil 1, but have found Gibbs to be better), Fram AND Wix AND K&N filters everywhere.

I've owned almost every brand of "American" automobile, and several "foreign" brands. I have only owned "foreign" motorcycles (Japanese). I currently I have a Dodge truck (had to pay $4.29 a gallon last night for diesel fuel) and am shopping for a foreign "sports car" (30+ mpg) to use as my "everyday car".

I'm loyal to the US and it's servicemen, no matter which branch - I served in the NAVY, my dad and his brothers in the Air Force, my brother in the Army and my maternal grandfather in the Coast Guard. But I don't buy any of their products...directly.

Because of my loyalty to the US, I've stopped buying gas/fuel at CITGO, but have no problem using almost any other brand as long as the price is reasonable.

I support charities that I choose for my personal reasons, not because their name is on a car, nor because a driver is their spokesman/advocate.
