| Funny How No One Has Mentioned... David Ragan Last year the kid was "A dart without feathers." This year he's been running consistently toward, but not at, the front. He's been running at the end at all but Daytona. With the exception of the first two races he's had solid top 20's in every race. True, these aren't the stats stardom is made of but for a kid who just a year ago was considered a wreck waiting to happen, I think it kind of impressive. He's in 14th place and only 56 points away from the Playoffs. Ironically he's ahead of two form champions, Kurt Busch and his team mate, Matt Kenseth. In light of all the crap which went down this week past I think David Ragan's unexpected performance is a bright spot in an otherwise murky sky. Keep it up, David. If you keep it up you'll have a lot of people scratching their heads thinking, "Where the Hell did this guy come from?"

| Re: Funny How No One Has Mentioned... I've been really surprised at the way he has run this year. Last year I called him 2 wreck minimum, cause it seemed he was involved in at least 2 wrecks almost every race. This year I've just been calling him by his name. He may not have the stats of the bigger stars, yet, but at the rate he keeps improving he'll get there.

It's troubling me that AAA is leaving Ragan after this season. I hope Roush keeps him. he's had to work hard to get to where he is, not to mention stepping into Mark Martin's seat was a tough act to follow. I hope Ragan does well. |

| Re: Funny How No One Has Mentioned... I know Roush supposedly has to get rid of a team soon. But I hope he keeps this kid too. He's going to be very good in a few more years. If I had to choose between him and Jamie, it'd be bye bye Jamie. |

| Re: Funny How No One Has Mentioned... How about that David Ragan? A 5th place!!! (And Fox didn't even think he merited a post-race interview? They got Flipper, Jeffie-Pooh and Junior but David was nowhere to be seen?) I think the kid drove a very smart race. I think he might be in the Playoff List now, but I haven't figured the points yet. |

| Re: Funny How No One Has Mentioned... Yes he did. Ragan rana very good race to finish like he did. Don't forget about Kvapil, the boy finished 8th. the 28 is definitely the better performer of the Yates cars. Brad Parrott and Kvapil are a hell of a team. |

It kind of proves what I have always maintained, Brad Parrott is probably one of the best and the most under-rated crew chiefs in the garage. The ONLY time Dale Jarrett had any real success was when Brad was on top of his box. It also was Brad who started the improvement of the Petty's and when he left to return to Yates that progress sputtered. Besides that I liked the paint job on the #28 last night. I wish I could have seen it to see it they just used gloss white or if they added the metal flake as they did in the 60's. |

As far as the paint I don't know. I would assume they used gloss white... it still looked good though.
