"Hes gotta be a little girl about it..."

Never heard truer words spoken. Steven Wallace is a wise wise man. I find it funny that Kyle calls SW a child for grabbing his helmet. Um Kyle, didn't you walk over to his car....wearing your helmet? Time to grow up Kyle, time to grow up.

Time they both grow up. Kyle should have vented to the media since that is what the media loves. Steve Wallace is a kid being backed by big bucks and has no fear of losing his ride. Really stupid to grab a helmet. Penalties for it in football and I'm sure we'll see one here also. NASCAR could have been a little more prepared for this event also. They know Kyle is a hot head. Better that they should be proactive versus reactive.

More than anything else the cup guys shouldn't be allowed to race with the minor leaguers.

NASCAR won't levy penalties for this... it's the classic "boys will be boys" situation between two drivers and to make it anymore than that is sensationalizing the event for publicity's sake. It's over, move on...

Plus, didn't NASCAR say they'd let the drivers be able to more express themselves this year? Think about it: they didn't fine Harvick and Montoya for what took place at Watkins Glen last season so why now? Not going to happen, imo.

Well said. I was going to reference the rather refined "shoving match" Jeffie-Pooh and Kenseth got into last year, but the "Meeting of the helmets" which JPM and Kevie showed us last year serves the discussion well.

As far as the "Express yourself," statement... I believe NA__AR meant what they said. However, there was an addition to the statement which only the drivers, crew chiefs and owners were privy to. That addition was, "... as long as 'expressing yourself' falls within these guidelines."

Ok I didn't see it, dang it. But from everything I've read Kyle went to Steven's car and stuck his head in the window. So why would Steven be penalized for grabbing it?

I'm not defending one or another here. Kyle was wrong in chasing Wallace down after the race. No question. That was stupid on his part and most of them that make this move do it out of anger at that moment. Grabbing the helmet could potentially a life threatening issue. Agreed that the chances are minimal but none the less serious injury could occur. That is the reason it is illegal in football. They are both boneheads and both made very stupid moves and even more stupid comments.

Speaking for myself it was a case of two kids whom I have no real affinity for, so to me it was kind of a victimless crime. Tell me again why I should be the least bit concerned with two adolescents whining about each other? It happens on every schoolyard at least a dozen times each school day.

I don't know Wallace other than what I saw of him last night. He's a terrible interviewee or at least for that one he was. Kyle has an attitude. I'm not 100% sure NASCAR should be a baby sitting service but it was easy to see before the end of the race that there would be confrontation. Could the officials been a little more ready for it ??? Again I realize they are not care takers or a security force. The big issue that I saw out of it was the safety issue that arose from grabbing the helmet. I could care less if they call each other "girls" but I do think one or both should be penalized in some way with the hopes there will be an awakening.

Re: "Hes gotta be a little girl about it..."

During Kyle's interview last night, he said "I don't care. I'll wreck as many cars as I need to." I'll bet those words spread through the garage like wildfire. I'm afraid all the bad karma he's building is gonna catch up to him before the year is over.

Steve Wallace's comments:

“I don’t know what he was saying, but I jerked him by the helmet just to rattle his cage a little bit and just to tell him I wasn’t happy with it. He’s just a little girl about it. I’d say it’s pretty bad when they call drivers introduction, everybody in the grandstands boos you. He’s just a big tall big-ear loser, I guess, don’t know what his deal is. He just got mad because I got in the back of him. Rubbing is racing here at the short track. I was racing as hard as I could, got in the back of him a little bit. And that’s racing. Sorry.”

It probably shouldn't have, but that part made me laugh pretty hard.

Re: "Hes gotta be a little girl about it..."

Wallace would have come out of this event looking great had he not grabbed the helmet. Had Kyle just gone up to the car and hollered at him things would have been fine. Like an idiot he stuck his head in Wallace's car. All downhill from there.

Re: "Hes gotta be a little girl about it..."

As was to be expected, Kyles success so far this year has taken an already big head and swelled it to a hot air balloon. Last time I looked he was a scrawny little twit who just happens to be a good race driver. He might want to step back and realize that out side his car he is still just a scrawny little twit and he will get knocked on his boney A** if he keeps getting in people's faces. Who did what to whom on the track last night is subject to interpretation, but if I remember correctly it was Kyle who commented recently after wiping Benson out of a truck race, that he is out there to win and he went for a hole that wasn't there. Sorry!! Guess it's ok for him to drive like a drunken sailor but is a crime for anyone else. He must have gone to the "Smoke's" school of driving rules.

Hmmm... You put forth an angle I hadn't thought of but I bet you can relate to.

Remember back when you were an young swabby and the Navy changed from a professional military organization to one big social experiment, wedding planner and day care center? Is NA__AR's future headed in a similar direction?

Exactly. If there are victims here, it's the "girls". As a girl myself, I sure wouldn't want Kyle Busch as a comparison to me or my girls. It's insulting! I can't get too angry, though, because I'm sure it wasn't a sexist comment - it's just one of those "sayings". I believe young Mr. Wallace would have to have the word "sexist" explained to him before he could accurately use it in a sentence. Not the sharpest tack on the card. Schrub, however, is not a dummy, at least intellectually. Somebody's going to ring that kid's bell before it's all said and done.
