| Edwards signs extension with Roush Didn't see this anywhere, but here you go. Edwards signs contract extension with Roush Fenway Racing - NASCAR - Yahoo! Sports Not much of a surprise, but that is great for Roush. Apparently Biffle is negotiating exclusively with Roush right now as well. |

| Re: Edwards signs extension with Roush Biffle has come out as well saying he is going to re-sign with Roush as well. He isn't going to talk to another team. They were probably the two biggest FAs this coming off season now they are off the table. Good news to BLab fans. RCR ride still open. |

Roush will retain his current number of seven teams Three of them will be under the roof of the yates garage. Probably either McMurray or, if Robby doesn't come back, Kenseth, will move to Yates.

| Re: Edwards signs extension with Roush No surprise about Carl. As far as who would leave between Jamie and David when the new rule hits, at the rate they've been running I believe it would be bye bye Jamie. |

Do you think it's kind of odd a person as devoted to his team and the sport as Robert Yates, is nowhere to be seen at the tracks on race day? I have no proof but my thinking is that Robert is an honorable, ethical and proud man. I think the position his approach to racing and the increased financial difficulties placed upon him, forced him to go a direction he found distasteful. Now, rather than be seen as part of it, he prefers to stay aloof and distance himself from the whole mess. But, I could be very wrong...? I'm sure NA__AR has looked at things and thought, "Gee, we made rules that, which were excellent, impeded what our design was. With deception and word games, these rules became moot in 1987 when we allowed Rick Hendrick to sign up his late father as a "team owner.". With this experience behind us, with only a little effort we can repeat the process next year. Our fans are so focused on the personalities, they'll never notice." As far as I'm concerned the arrogance NA__AR exhibits in respect to owner and team control, is disgraceful. It's a major contribution to the disillusionment many long-time fans have now IRT NASCAR. BTW, I'm not just picking on Roush/Yates. Practically the exact same thing can be said for Gibbs/HOF and Hendrick/Haas-CNC. |
