It's not an oval, and the speed limit is only 45 mph, but the stretch of Lincoln Way West between two roundabouts is going to be dedicated soon in honor of NASCAR driver Ryan Newman. The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners approved a request Tuesday from County Council member Randy Przybysz to dedicate the half-mile stretch of road in honor of the Rocket Man, a South Bend native who won the Daytona 500 in February. The commissioners will not be renaming it, just dedicating it with a couple of signs.
