Ready to go Saturday night racing? Rolling into the hills of Virginia to Richmond, VA for the Crown Royal presents the Dan Lowery 400 on May 3rd around 7:30 pm. Who is going to leave Richmond making the grade at this "D" shaped oval track? Give us your picks for 1st and 2nd place.

If you get just the 1st place driver you'll get a one month upgrade of your member title.

If you get just the 2nd place driver you get an honorable mention in the predictions thread.

The guesses must be made prior to qualifying.

Correct guesses after that will get honorable mention only.

An elderly gentleman I have gotten acquainted with at my local gym is a HUGE Dale Junior fan and he and I have spoken about NASCAR and he said something to me today that made me re-consider my position here when it comes to making my weekly picks...

You see, I told him that I was picking Dale Junior to win Talladega... and before that, Phoenix... and before that, Texas and each time, Junior doesn't win! So, he told me that I'm jinxing the boy by picking him! Maybe I am? Hmmm... food for thought... I'm not superstitious, am I?

So, out of respect to the only other NASCAR fan I know in my little SF Bay Area town of Dublin, I will NOT be picking Junior this weekend! Here are my picks:

First Place: Denny Hamlin

Second: Dale Junior
