| Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) Okay Kevin Lepage is now Nascar's new idiot. What the hell was he thinking. Wow in all my years I don't think I've ever seen something soooooooo dumb. I hope Nascar kicks him or his sponsor out for ever. That look like a move a 13 year old kid does on EA Sports Nascar game. |

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) Basically the pack is going into turn 1 full speed. Lepage coming out of the pits going about 80 miles an hour and pulls right in front of the pack. I thought Edwards was going to ramp Lepages car. |

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) Yeah, that is one of the most boneheaded moves I've seen. I'm only 40, but I've been watching and going to races since at least 1976, and that takes the cake. I'm drug testing him, and he's done on the track for about a month or so. I can't wait for them to interview him and see what he says. No excuse is good enough.

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) Kevin Lapage turned up into the pack as he was coming off pit road. He turned up as the pack was going past him. Problem is, in the meeting they were told to keep all 4 tires below the yellow line all the way into turn 2. Kevin turned up on the track just as the cars started to enter turn 1. A few cars got by, then Carl Edwards, and this was in no way his fault, hit him, and the cars just went everywhere. Then in the interview, he says that he was right, and the rest of the drivers were wrong, and needed new sponsors. Um, no. I don't think so Kevin. I think you are going senile! |

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) I believe he said spotters, not sponsors. Anyway, I agree. That was one of the dumbest mistakes I've ever seen a driver make. And then for Kevin to blame the other drivers was just ridiculous. I'm just glad nobody got hurt. And it took everything Cousin Carl had to keep from saying something bad about Kevin. |

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) LePage actually got defensive when asked about the move! He said that he was under the impression that at the driver's meeting before the race, they were told that they could re-join the race after exiting the pits at the entry of TURN 1! Because that sounded contrary to what they heard, the TV announcers got some NASCAR official to clear it up and was told that the cars coming off pit road was only allowed to re-join the race after TURN 2 and NOT TURN 1 as LePage had stated! He even went as far as to say that the crash was THEIR spotters fault - meaning the other drivers spotters - for not warning them that he was coming! I mean how stupid does one have to be to realize that 42 other cars are not going to slow down for one car!

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) Thanks for posting that. Wow, what a boneheaded move that was. Drifted right out into traffic, despite warnings from his spotter, and then to blame the others when he was clearly at fault? Definitely something needs to be done to this guy. |

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) In fairness to Kevin LePage, he did apologize. I'm no Lib, but people do make mistakes... Lepage apologizes for Nationwide Series accident - NASCAR - Yahoo! Sports |

| Re: Nascar's new idiot (NWS Spoiler) It's nice that he did that, but he was shown the tape on TV, and he still made his bonehead statement. Ah well, he's been around a long time. If he can be humble enough to reconsider and offer an apolgise, then I think we need to accept it and move on. Good job Kevin. I guess it was just too soon after the wreck the first time! |
