Are you talking about Hershel McGriff? He once teamed with Bill FRance Senior in the now long defunct Mexican Pam-Am Road Race, and competed in many NASCAR races in the 60's. I believe I read he still ran a couple races in the first part of this decade.
There is also a older gentleman up in the northest(I vbelieve CN or MA?) who races modifieds on a regular basis. I want to say he has a nickname of "Stub," or something like that, but... gosh, with advanced age comes lost of memory (DRAT!!!).

I hope Mark wins some this year. I am a Ford fan, but Mark is not my favorite.

Mark Martin drives clean because he's so small. He's afraid of getting beat up if he gets into someone. I like Martin, he's awesome! He's the only Ford guy I don't wish bad luck upon!
