Shrubby's already said he's aiming for seven titles and 200+ wins. He's stipulated that he expects fully to do that among the top three series', not exclusively Cup.

The kid is maturing, has talent, says what he thinks, and apparently is one of the few to whom racing means more than publicity and money (the young tend to more easily fall into this last category)

As long as he doesn't start stating in interviews that he's all about the future and will bring "Change" to NA__AR (that word's become almost a profanity of late), I'm all for him trying to make good on his goals.

Kyle has won on Intermediate tracks, a flat track and now the road course in Mexico........(which surprised me)
I guess we can make that 7 wins thus far.........and now arestrictor plate race

Busch is all but running away with this season. You think Coach Gibbs is happy he signed Kyle?

Nah, I think he's having buyer's remorse.

Re: Is Kyle Busch the next "KING" of nascar?

Easy guys. Easy. I must admit that Kyle has had a great start to this year, but "King of Nascar"....slow down a little bit. You still have Jimmie Johnson, who is the back 2 back defending series champ, on the track. Also Carl Edwards who has already won three times. Tony Stewart might would take offense since he has won two titles and is a pretty good driver himself. There's Dale Jr., who despite not winning since May 2006 (obviously equipment issues), leads all drivers in top 10s so far. I know you guys think he's just a poster boy, but look....at the same stage of his career (to the day) he had won 11 times, had 40 top 5's, and 64 top 10's. I'm not putting Kyle's stats. You check em. Oh yeah. To top it all off. There's still a guy by the name of Jeff Gordon on the track. Miserable start to his season yes, but..........

Re: Is Kyle Busch the next "KING" of nascar?

I say let's step back and see how Kyle does through the hot, humid days of summer racing and where he ends up at the end of the year. He may self destruct and start falling in the points, or he may not. Regardless of what he does, I still think Jimmy Johnson is gonna be the second driver in NASCAR history to win 3 championships back to back to back.

Hey remember a few years ago at the Daytona 500 Kyle and his crew were getting booed at at introductions! Then one of the crew guys jumped into the crowd thinking someone was going to catch him! The crew guy landed on his butt everyone just moved out of the way! That was classic!
