They tried that a couple of Congressional elections ago. One of the crooks from one State sponsored a car in the BGN Series, I think. I believe it lasted one race and then I heard that NA__AR got its head out of its rectum and make a rule that political sponsorships were
verboten.
This type of thing has a history in racing. The first I remember it happening was in 1968. There were several cars racing in the Chicago area carrying "George Wallace for President" sentiments on their sides and I know it was the same down State and in Indiana.
