anyone agree with me ... or have their own grades to hand out ?

The one that caught my eye was JPM. Last week he moved up 2 places. Why the low grade ?

Since Jeffie-Pooh is too busy to get involved in mundane things like testing I think a C- might be a bit kind.

i did want to give him a lower grade .... but he has 2 poles and 3 top 5's

I heard an interview with Chad and he sounded a bit resentful that he and Jimmy tested over the Easter Weekend and Jeffy was in the Bahamas.

Not that I like Gordon or like defendin him.... but the man is a four time champ and Jimmie and Chad wouldn't be together if it wasn't for him. So I think Chad can get over it quick.

Not that i want to defend him but he is currently in 17th and up 2 positions. Could be a lot worse.

I basically agree. But, I have two questions.

1. Where's Kyle Busch on your grading sheet. He is 2nd in the point standings? I think he deserves an A- just like Jimmie Johnson.
2. How did you rate Juan Montoya a C+ and Jeffe Pooh a C- ? Maybe that should be reversed. What do you think?

i would agree with Kyle getting an A- .... most drivers were left out for no real reason

i like the grades for JPM and JG based on driver experience .... JG is ahead in the standings .. but to me that doesnt automatically translate to a higher grade ......... like i wouldnt give an experienced driver a high grade without being top 5 in points or having atleast 1 win .. on the other hand i would give a rookie a high grade for being in the Chase right now

hope that makes sense .... is has to do with expectations

You picked two guy to rate in this "C" rating that can be super competitors. Did you notice Saturday night that Montoya race Jeffe Pooh rear hard for several before Jeffe got around him? They go back a long way. The NASCAR bio page has the following comment about the two of them:

"Montoya traded cars with Jeff Gordon for a publicity event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2002. Gordon drove Montoya's F1 car and Montoya drove Gordon's stock car."
