| Re: Dear Mrs. Harvick! It's all about respect. I fought and my G-father fought. It's all about respect. For many of us who fought it is all about respect. She seems to lack it. It isn't any secret to her either. Myself and many others have written to her. I view her as a punk who lacks respect for what I fought for.

| Re: Dear Mrs. Harvick! In fairness, I believe etiquette does not require women to remove their hats or headcovers. The standard that us men are held do in this regard is not the same as women so I don't know for sure if what she did was disrespectful. (I'm assuming this is during the national anthem, right?) I've seen women in church with hats on for Easter or Christmas mass and I know that a priest once kicked me out of the church because I refused to remove my cap so I know that it's different for men and women. Now, as far as a "flag ceremony" or national anthem goes though, I've never heard the PA announcer say "ladies remove your caps" but I hear them say "gentlemen remove your caps/hats" all the time!

| Re: Dear Mrs. Harvick! Come tell my 2 cousins (both women and in the military) that they should keep theirs on. They think they should be treated just like the men. Times have changed PB.... I think women should be treated the same as men, that means everything. Women fight in the military now, not just serve as nurses. The world is different, and all things change, not just some things. |

| Re: Dear Mrs. Harvick! Is Mrs Harvick wearing a uniform. And does she put her hand over her heart??? I hadn't noticed, but if I'm sponsoring the team she owns, I'm telling her to get the damn hat off. Any rule that has to be researched, you should be erring on the side of RESPECT. I still stand at attention 17 years after getting out, in civilian clothes, when the anthem plays. She can take the time to take the stinkin hat off.
