| Re: General Mills to sponsor fourth RCR car in 2009 It was confirmed today that Bobby Labonte will be the driver of the No. 33 RCR car sponsored by General Mills. I think this is a good move for Richard Childress and a very good move for Bobby Labonte. Bad timing for Petty Enterprises. Looks like Kyle is giving up his seat to McCumbee and now the evaporation of driver and sponsorship for the No. 43. Maybe we will see a Petty blue No. 43 next year with a fresh driver and sponsor. |

| Re: General Mills to sponsor fourth RCR car in 2009 I don't agree with Bobby taking the sponsor. After all when he lost his ride in the 18 who was the only team interested in hiring him? Childress wasn't there with a ride. But now that he can get a sponsor Childress said come on over.

What would you do?? Stay with a team with no sponsor for the year, or go to a proven team?? Bobby has shown PE all the loyalty in the world. I think that if this is true, then he deserves to end his career on a high note. |

You do not know what you are talking about. When Bobby left PE there were alot of teams after him. He chose PE because he wanted to help build it back to a championship caliber team. Bobby did his part PE didn't step up. As for taking the sponsorship there is no proof that Bobby said come with me. It could have been the other way around. All reports state that GMills wanted to keep sponsoring Bobby. They could have been the whole reason he left. Plus Bobby didn't lose his ride. He left the 18. Please oh please keep the facts straight. |

| Re: General Mills to sponsor fourth RCR car in 2009 My bad. Must admit I don't keep up with Bobby that much. I just figured he must have lost his ride. Didn't see much other reason to leave a winning team that you've won with to go to another that hasn't won in awhile. |

| Re: General Mills to sponsor fourth RCR car in 2009 It cool I overreacted a little. He left the 18 after Joe went back to the Redskins. The 18 was getting uncompetitive and he was getting little help from JD. So he decided to go in another direction and JD let him go. |

| Re: General Mills to sponsor fourth RCR car in 2009 Great news for Bobby, he will be in good equipment again and can be consistently competitive. This is terrible news for PE, although not unexpected. I wonder if it will have an effect on the sell of their team? Probably not, but I don't think they have an attractive option for replacing Labonte... I don't think a whole lot of Chad McCumbee. Also losing GM as a sponsor is a huge blow, especially in the current state of the sport where a lot of teams are having trouble finding sponsors. This team is quickly becoming an afterthought in this sport. |
