Don't get me wrong ... I like Kyle Petty as a person but 8 wins in 29 years and his last win was in 1995 and last week he didn't even qualify. It's time to take a serious look at what you are accomplishing at this point.

years ago they used a word.....stroker......now with the money involved it pays pretty go just to ride around.......what kyle's been thru,who can blame him......you could put him in the fastest car out there ,but his more mature brain [like mine] would say 'lets not kill ourself for just the chance to make a few extra bucks''......there is a long list of drivers who thought or think that way........what would you do????

Everything you're saying is probably correct but ...... sponsors are now getting fewer and fewer and they want more and more. Riding around leaves little to be seen on TV and lets face it, the exposure on the track is pretty much all they get for their big bucks. I think more and more sponsors are going to be asking for results or no more money.

What would I do ??? If my record over 29 years was 8 wins, none since 1995, now failing to qualify ..... I'd give up the seat and look for other work, but that's just me.

Don't know much about the other teams. Found where Shepherd brought in christian investors to his team and decided to become a start and park car to hold down expenses.

Perfectly said, time for him to step aside. It's sad that Petty's car has a good sponsor and someone competitive like Kvapil rides around in a plain white car.
