| Re: DJ, and some others, speak out about speaking out I honestly don't think Tony would have any trouble finding a new ride if Home Depot decided that they had seen enough of his outbursts. I dislike his attitude but if I were an owner I wouldn't mind having him drive for me. |

He would be the most successful driver on any team out there other than HMS. And being second toJeff Gordon is nothing to hang your head about! |

That being said, there is an old and worn cliche which is germane: "Sometimes a person's gotta do what a person's gotta do." Tony did it.

| Re: DJ, and some others, speak out about speaking out Somewhere down the road I believe many will be praising Tony for his profitable outbursts. There is no doubt in my mind that what he did could have been done with a wee bit more eloquence but the fact remains that a couple of major hurdles were resolved in a short amount of time when prior to each of his interviews nothing was being done. Now when there is a yellow for debris we get to see the debris almost immediately. If you saw any of the interviews with the Goodyear rep you probably got the impression that some changes are going to occur there also. The drivers had complained before with no obvious results. Yes ... I believe there will, at some point, be some real accolades for Tony. |

The Stewart haters will forever think he was whining. The Stewart lovers will forever think he did the right thing, even if he had delivered that statement in Mandarin Chinese. The rest of us have made our feelings known and whatever happens, happens. |

| Re: DJ, and some others, speak out about speaking out Well I guess I fall in the middle somewhere Bob. I'm no fan of the person, Tony Stewart. I do like his desire to win and his abilities when used properly (not often enough) If I was ever to be a driver fan I wouldn't pick Tony as the one. Much for the same reasons i would have and didn't choose Dale Sr. I am happy that he took NASCAR to the edge though. I don't approve of exactly how he did it. I think he just went a bit to far when he stated that he would remove the Goodyear tires from his POV's, BUT ..... he did get everyones attention and that doesn't seem like a bad thing. |
