| Re: Bristol Qualifying Read the text at the top.If Bill E. had chosen to race then the Wood's make the race. They need the champ prov. more than K. Petty at this time to get in the top 35.Do you see and or agree? |

| Re: Bristol Qualifying Yes I did see that and I agree. I was focusing on the actual numbers that were shown for 9th & 11th. How is it that he can just change his mind or do you think they may have agreed that they wanted him more at Martinsville ?

| Re: Bristol Qualifying Why is everyone concerned about the Wood brothers? I mean I'm sure they are nice people. But if they want to keep racing NASCAR they need to make a comittment not this half way stuff they are doing now. I like Leonard Wood. But I really can't feel sorry for them when they can't even get a full time devoted to the team driver in the car. Every week it's play guess who is driving the car this week. Your not going to be succesful in today's NASCAR like that. This isn't 1965. |

| Re: Bristol Qualifying Probably for the same reason that Petty Blue likes Petty Enterprises, the same reason that Quality 88 and Team Yates are Yates fans, the same reason that PenelopePitStop likes Tony Stewart & Jr. We all have personal favorites and we want them to do well every week, no matter who drives. The woods Brothers Racing team has been around for 58 years now. Yes teams do fail but isn't it OK for those that care to be concerned and wonder why ???? |

| Re: Bristol Qualifying .... and Dale Earnhardt should have driven with more care. We can't always control the future. |

| Re: Bristol Qualifying It's OK Phil. This is more about allowing members to show concern for the Woods Brothers without having to explain why !!! |

| Re: Bristol Qualifying "Should?" Well, I guess that kind of defines the difference between sports and big business. "Keep up or get the Hell out." Too much like the '80's and '90's mantra, "What have you done for me TODAY?" for my personal liking. Somehow I just don't get the kick out of watching big business that I do watching real sports. Maybe this thing we call NA__AR today is more like watching a bunch of career-conscious weenies in a board room jockey for position on the corporate ladder, than it is watching honest-to-goodness automobile racing? But I could be very, very wrong...

| Re: Bristol Qualifying I wonder if in 60s and 70s it wasn't the same "this ain't 1949" anymore mentality ?! I know the Woods were THE ones ahead of the pack with their quick pit stops against the 49er pit-stop brigade in 65. Thing is I doubt it matters so much about big business as it is simply out of touch with an ever changing world.
