What's wrong with Chevy?

Chevrolet dominated the Cup Series in 2007, but so far this year there?s been one win for Dodge, two for Ford and one for Toyota. Chevrolet is still seeking its first victory. Chevrolet went winless in the first four races of the 1976 season before Cale Yarborough won the fifth race at Bristol. It?s only happened two other times since then. Ford won the first nine races of the 1992, then Chevrolet went eight races without winning in 2002. -- Charlotte Observer

Chevy's been right there at the end of each race:
  • Dale Jr. lost all his drafting partners at Daytona and finished well back to team work by others;
  • Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon were 2nd and 3rd at California;
  • Carl Edwards cheated to beat Dale Jr. at Las Vegas; and
  • Dale Jr. and Jeff Gordon were in the top 5 at Atlanta's tire fiasco.
Money wise, Chevy is not doing bad. They have not been fined for "infractions" at the inspection station prior to the race or at post-race inspections. And, Dale Jr. and Jeff Gordon are still selling t-shirts and hat at a record pace. Wait until Sunday the short-track Chevy's may show up at Bristol.

Well, Chevrolet didn't do so bad today at Bristol:
  1. Jeff Burton - Chevrolet
  2. Kevin Harvick - Chevrolet
  3. Clint Bowyer - Chevrolet
  4. Greg Biffle - Ford
  5. Dale Earnhardt Jr. - Chevrolet

"Damned if we do, damned if we don't" !!!! Last year we complained that they were so dominate. I'm pretty happy with the variety so far this year.

Sorry, Steve. That thing that won today is about as much a Chevrolet as the winning car in the Indy 500 is a Toyota.

It's a specially designed race car powered by an specially made engine. manufactured miles from the nearest GM plant. NA__AR allows them to put a bow tie on the hood.

I leave the "SC" out of NASCAR purposely.

No need to apologize Bob. We all know that the only thing about them that actually relates to the manufacturer is the decal and the bucket of money they get from each manufacturer.

That should have read "They will be winning before long".

Wow, I just can't type sometimes!

BTW, a Chevy won today!

Not really, but it does have a sticker on it!
