| Re: Birth photos of Dovers Miles the Monster composite Well. I do have some advantages over those that don't know the area! The most important on is Never, Never, NEVER,, park on the track groungs. It is worth the extra walk, as long as you are able, to not get your vehicle on the grounds of Dover! I walk about a mile on Sunday. That is the only bad day. Friday and Saturday you are fine. NEVER on sunday!

We usaully park on Dover grounds, but yeah Sunday on the track grounds is a biotch!!!! | Re: Birth photos of Dovers Miles the Monster composite Hey .. while BBQ'ing with friends this last weekend and discussing 'Miles' a friend of mine said "Oh yeah! ..I saw a comercial on TV the other day about a show that will be on next week showing how Miles came to be.. and setting him up down there at Dover..etc..etc.."... ? does anyone know about this?? I'm curious if this is so .. I would like to tape it...Maybe on the Speed channel? if anyone knows anything about please drop in a line or two here... Thanks.. and pss.. have a great time at dover this weekend ....lucky stiff ..I wish I was going with you! |

Yes, I knew he would be, but I thought there may be a slack off around him, but it didn't happen while we were there. So, I didn't get a photo of Miles and I because there were to many people, will have to make another road trip down when it won't be as mobbed!! But I still got to see Miles and he looks FANTASTIC!!!! |

I had a great time at Dover yesterday, I managed to get several things accomplished that I set out to do. Was given a set of directions that we were told should have us in Dover in an hour and 15 minutes, that didn't work, it still took 2 hours!!@#!$%*# So got there a little later than we wanted to get there, had a shorter time there than expected. But all in all, I had a great time!!!! Dover Rocks!! 1.To see Miles the Monster completed. 2.Meet up with our own resident Phils20 - (had a good time hanging out before the rain hit!!) 3.Meet Bobby Allison. 4.Track atmosphere. | Re: Birth photos of Dovers Miles the Monster composite At Dover - 5/31/08 Right after Bobby's interview they were taking him over to the Miles the Monster to unveil his plaque, he was walking towards us and I reached my hand out to shake his hand and this little "bodyguard" girl put herself between Bobby and I as my husband was snapping the photo but he got a close up of Bobby looking right at me as he was reaching his hand out to shake my hand behind the little "body guard" girl. How awesome I got to meet Bobby and to shake his hand!!  While walking around the trailers, I was disappointed to see there wasn't a Yates Racing trailer, but I did manage to find a killer hat and sweatshirt in the Ford trailer. And total bummer, the sign on the front of the trailer said that on Sunday at 10 am, Travis and David would be there signing autographs!! Even though I KNEW there was No way that I would be able to get there today, it didn't stop me from standing there loudly telling my husband, "I WILL BE HERE TOMORROW!!" You should've seen the look on his face!! But all in all, I had a great time, and I'm glad to share the milestone of the birth of Miles the Monster!! |
