Everything's going well on the install so far. I'm worried about the left thumb fitting on the skirt , but it'll work. Steve and I aren't down there but Dwight has it under control. Thanks to everyone who followed the birth of Miles. As a sculptor, I don't get much feed back on my work. You guys really pumped us up!!!!
Kelly, thanks for checking in with us!! I miss seeing you on a daily basis!! You're probably glad to put some space between yourself and the crazy girl with the camera!! I have that disc for you, I'll send you a pm to get your address or meet up with you somewhere if you want!!

Kelly, you rock!!!!! You have done an excellent job!! And of course, Steve did an excellent job too!! All the guys did an excellent job, I don't see anyway he could have turned out any better!! I am/was very impressed to watch you guys turn Miles into the massive monster that he has become!! I had a blast coming over and watching all the progress, getting daily reports to pass on to our fellow GoTeamsGo.com members, it was a once in a lifetime experience!! Thank you for your kindness and consideration to me!!

Question: Will You and Team ACI be painting Miles? Or is somebody else going to be doing that? Are you invited to the unveiling? That would be cool, as I'm pretty sure that you are a Gordon fan, or at least wearing his hat!!

I couldn't add anymore smilies, we are only allowed 4!!

Hi Kelly and thanks from everyone here at GTG for allowing our very own Team Yates to get shots all the time Miles was being created. It has been a real joy for us to see him start from nothing and turn into what he is now. My question is what is the process from this point on? I will assume he needs some patch work to cover up the places where he is put together. What do you use and how long will it take ? How about the painting process ? How long will it take and how durable will it be ? How often will he have to be refinished/repainted ?

Hey soon to be Mrs. Travis!!
Thanks for checking in with us. It's great to hear from you. Are the guys staying in Dover or are they going down on a daily basis? The guys did a fantastic job fiberglassing Miles the Monster. What a very tedious job that was to go through all the steps of fiberglassing the massive monster!! Hope to hear more from you!!

Thanks for the info!! Looks like everybody has to work around each other, but they are all getting it done!! Did you go over to ACI composites while Miles the Monster was there? Will you go to Dover to see the completed project? I'll be going down, I wanted to go a few times but with the price of gas, that's out of the question, so it looks like I'll only get there after he is completed. My plan was to "kill 2 birds with 1 stone", go down on May 31st, get to see Miles completed and to meet Bobby Allison, but from what I read, I don't think I'm going to get to meet Bobby, it said that you need to have a June ticket!! I have plently of June tickets, but they are not for this year!! Oh well, at least I'll get to see Miles completed and get the race weekend atmosphere!!

I was to a race at Pocono once, it was ok, I wasn't impressed. Now, Dover, on the other hand, is a totally different animal - its a monster!! We have been to Dover for many years, both races, what a blast!!!! I love Dover, it is a totally different atmosphere than Pocono. I know everybody thinks I'm just saying that because we have "suits" checking in, but it is TRUE!! Even when we don't have tickets, I still want to go there walk around and hang out!! I consider Dover my "home track" even though I live in PA. We have had seats down low, up high, in turn one, the back stretch, turn four and of course in front on pit road before, right at and right past the finish line. I've always a GREAT time!! I could tell you many years of stories about Dover race weekend!! Even hanging out Friday or Saturday and watching Sunday at home, is still better than not getting there at all!! Dover atmosphere, soak it up!!
