Kyle Busch made a comment after the race about how Carl had oil problems last week and this week and there must be a tie in. That's pure get the fan riled up talk. If you look at the area in question the lid came off the box surrounding the oil tank. Not the oil tank itself.....

But it's good soap opera talk.

Or - ("there must be a tie in") may well be a reference to the expressed opinion by others that the possible decrease in temperature realized by venting the surrounding encasement of the oil tank saved engine components last week.

I was always luke warm about Edwards, as I am with many drivers. Last year he did or said something that I didn't like, so he's inching up on my "don't like" meter, but I'll admit that I don't remember what he did or said. I'm sure I can find it if challenged.

There were many posts regarding the "oil cap" controversy. I didn't quite understand it, so I didn't comment. Just read and learned. All I could picture was the oil (710 ) cap on my own car. Then on Sunday, they did that "car-cut-out" thing and I actually saw what the controversy was about. That cover is huge, and I can now understand why the air flow might have given Edwards the advantage.

Based on what the announcers said, it would be pretty hard not to notice it. They actually kinda joked about it. Waltrip even explained that the heat from the lack of the cover would be pretty hot, and any driver would notice it.

I must say I wasn't disappointed to see Edwards out of contention on Sunday.

The fake punch he threw at Kenseth clinched it for me, that may be what you didn't like from last year. Punk Edwards with his camo shorts faking out Matt (about 8 inches and 80 lbs lighter), then laughed in his face.

Bully, punk, and jerk. Wish he'd blow up more often.

By the way, loved the 710 reference! That is just plain funny!
