Yeah, I forgot about Carl, that is one huge fall from grace there. He will be back in the top 12 in the next couple weeks though. Does anyone know if he is going to accept the 100 point penalty or his he going to appeal?

We've got some interesting standings I think. Besides Kyle Busch who has torn up the track and everyone on it, there really is nobody that sticks out as a championship contender here early in the season. I guess Newman has done the best job of sticking up there, winning Daytona and staying in and around the top 10 in the other 3 races. And Burton has looked like Texas Terry Labonte out there all season, just quietly running in the top 5 until he gets a win, and boom, he's in the points lead. I'd like to see that happen.

to be fair JG has bean running well as usual but bad luck catches up to him towards the end of the races.and JJ on the other hand is strugling but only strugling compared to his previous seasons because where he is at right now many other drivers wish they were in his position.

I like the comparison of Burton to "texas Terry", your right, that is pretty much how jeff runs most of his races, the one thing i've noticed, is he does rather well at bristol so he could sneak outta this race with a win
and as far as the Busch boys go, I may noy like them all that much, but there is no knocking their abilities definately great drivers.
