On one hand, the drivers want softer tires which don't throw spark, figuratively speaking. I can dig that. On the other hand this new car puts a lot of down force on the right side and a softer tire could lead to another 2006 Richmond fall race. Goodyear is apparently leaning on the side of caution. Tony, and the rest of the complainers, will get over it. IRT Kyle Busch. YOu hit the nail on the head. If more Cup drivers drove like Shrub we wouldn't be complaining about "Points racing."

IMO Kyle Busch proves this theory. What does everyone else think?

| Re: poor tony....[poor joe gibbs] I agree that Tony Stewart could use a few quick lessons in diplomacy but he doesn't strike me as the "go along, get along" type of person and - more importantly - it wouldn't be Tony Stewart! I do have a query about Goodyear and how they managed to wedge themselves as the only provider of tires to this racing league. I'm sure there are other tire manufacturers in this country that would be more than happy to provide NASCAR with their tires, so how Goodyear has absolutely no competition in a league that's all about competition is way beyond my comprehension! I'm hoping someone here can enlighten me as to why this is the case.

It was a popular thought that the Hooisers were responsible for Neil Bonnet and Rodney Orr losing thier lives in Daytona back in 1993. But there were quite a few teams trying out those tires. I am pretty sure that Alan Kulwicki was one of those teams. Anyone hear that remembers Alan think he was foolish? I sure don't! A bit of a taskmaster, perhaps, but that is even more reason why I have my doubts about how bad the Hoosiers really were. |

| Re: poor tony....[poor joe gibbs] Seems some other drivers agree with Tony. LIke Gordon and Jr. They are nicer about it, but are clearly not happy!! Are they both whiners? ESPN - Stewart, Earnhardt lead chorus of drivers lambasting Goodyear after race - Nascar |
