| where's the nationwide/craftsman posts? Hey guys, after looking at your NASCAR forum, I noticed something. Every thing you guys ever talk about revolves around the Sprint Cup. How come you guys don't ever do Live Chats for the Nationwide Cup Races or the Craftsman Truck series races? |

IRT, Cup Lite... To quote Rhett Butler, "Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn." Big guys and big teams beating up on less skilled and lesser financed, on a weekly basis, hold little or no interest to this fan at all. However it was a good question and begged for answer(s).

| Re: where's the nationwide/craftsman posts? deardaytonoflyerfan............u r exactly right in your observation.....this forum is rapidly putting racing in the background and putting a combination of ''american idol ''and '' the apprentice'' on the front stage.... |

| Re: where's the nationwide/craftsman posts? I also love the trucks. Will only watch Busch when it's not loaded down with cup drivers. After all I watch the cup races to see them. When it comes down to it, I'd much rather watch trucks than the cup cars. |

| Re: where's the nationwide/craftsman posts? I think we must have all missed it. Also I didn't think we had put racing in the background. I thought we still carried on lots of conversations about it. |

I think it might be the fact that the talk here is much less about "My driver" vs. "Your driver," and the races themselves, than is seen in other forums. (Which, by the way, is the main reason why I like it here so much) We get beyond that and go, in depth, into the business end, rules and regulations motivation, psychology, philosophy and the general nuts & bolts of the sport. Its not just about the drivers and the "Beautiful people" of NA__AR. Maybe salysenior would have been just as correct to add The History Channel to "American Idol" and "The Apprentice" to his list of similar concepts? But I could be very wrong in the above assumption. If I am, no malice was meant and apologies, if due, will be forthcoming. |

Quick question came to mind, and this is not either rhetorical, baiting, or tongue in cheek. Are there indeed Live Chats for the Nationwide Cup Races or the Craftsman Truck series races to be found? Then there's the: Neither of the two series has attained a level of comparative interest/following as Cup. The attendance/attentiveness here is pretty much consistent with that which might be measured via the 'ol - "fannys in seats" - ruler Comparatively Fannyless. This probably even more true of Nationwide than Craftsman. Nationwide likely could be found to have never been able to reach a self-sustaining stature. Was many a year we'd do "the weekend" which included the Busch series on day one, followed by the Winston series on day two. Lord those v6's could rip your eardrums to pieces. Rarely had to buy a Busch ticket, there were always giveaways to be had and seating was "open". Attendance at Busch, now Nationwide, NOTABLY increased as an increasing number of Cup drivers participated, and the increased attendance at these "opening act" events continues to this day. Quite a quandry now. One of then - "danged if ya do, danged if ya don't" - tail chases. |

| Re: where's the nationwide/craftsman posts? Yep, we've pretty much already seen the next Nationwide race. I only watch those races nowadays when the two series aren't running companion races, but even in those, the 4 Cup Raiders racing the full Nationwide season are usually the top 4. |

| Re: where's the nationwide/craftsman posts? I think the truck series is the best series of the 3 for the following reasons: 1) the racing is just better and more exciting 2) the drivers seem to enjoy themselves much more in this series and they are not carbon copies of each other. 3) the races are done with from start to finish in less then 3 hours (the sprint cup pre race show is longer then the truck race!!!) Also agree the Nationwide series is the most boring of the 3. |
