Tarnished Victory? Here's a great piece from Jay Hart at Yahoo Sports. I think he paints a pretty accurate picture of the box NASCAR has painted themselves into. Tarnished victory? - NASCAR - Yahoo! Sports

Re: Tarnished Victory? An observation: With every involvement, at any series or level of organized competition that we've ever had the priviledge to participate, as either/both (not at the same time obviously) a member of a team, or a member of the governing body, a team was responsible for the control of resources and personnel directly admitted to the competition area by and for the team. The governing body was responsible for the control of resources and personnel directly admitted to the competition area by and for the governing body. The delineation was necessary and beneficial. I do not know who owned the responsibility for the direct admission and therefore control of the camera person that obstructed the 99 team member from properly capturing the tire. To date, haven't seen that anyone going on and on about it does. A medidiot again leads the lemmings over the cliff.

Re: Tarnished Victory? And the more you really read the Hart article, the more ya see what a fairy tale trip one can take with it. Good God. We go from: "In postrace inspection, NASCAR found the lid in Edwards' oil cooler "off." That's how it was explained. Off". to "Five cars were found with the same violation following the Nationwide race at Daytona" Now we most assuredly may have missed something, take for instance the meaning of life, but what we did see indicated there was "off" and there was "loose" as a described difference. But see how the author seeks to take clear advantage of those such as I and move to same violation. This is a move to do the proverbial "sinking of the hook". ************************************************** **** Then there's the real faux paux (sp?) that is a real fish hook. We go from: "That means Edwards could have had an advantage. No oil cooler lid means more air, which could mean more speed". and then we jump to - There is a precedent for this. Five cars were found with the same violation following the Nationwide race at Daytona Oh really. So to be sure we understand, there is the Edwards thing which the author has made clear is as yet (at least to him) to be understood, remains undefined and unproven. Yet he would have us via blind faith follow him in the leap across the chasm to - "there is that which precedes, is the same as, and therefore establishes the unequivicable equality between the two". Ahhhh ----, excuse me dolt, but did you not just tell me that what you have in one hand is an unknown while telling me what you have in the other is defined and the same? There is either an oxymoron or a moron here. Now once one follows the author across the chasm of "unknown = known", foregoing all that may be truth or subject to logical deduction, we arrive in - Fairy Tale Land. Upon arrival, one is owned by the author. Ala Jim Jones, there is need only to incite the followers with words like "wrongdoing", and the absolute slamdunk "cheater", to arouse the ire and rebel in the heart of the meekest of lemmings. Ya gotta be kiddin' me. Just how dumb does this guy believe we are? ************************************************** We've already dealt with the failings of the author to comprehend/acknowlege/ or even consider the existing alternatives around responsibility around the "tire" thing. ************************************************** * Fairy Tale Land.. Oh look, the Cheshire Cat. That's real right?
