The: "I'm Proud Of..." Post-Race Thread

Pile on if you want to...

I'm proud of:

"Cousin" Carl and Dale Junior finishing 1-2 because I get a PERMANENT TITLE UPGRADE! (Do I get a raise in pay as well?!? )

Juan Pablo Montoya for finishing 19th - he'd been running like CRUD - (I mean, COW PATTIE POOPIE) - all day and to finish in the top-20 after rubbing the wall early and not running well makes me very happy! (Where's my JPM pit cap???)

Denny Hamlin for finishing in ninth. After having lots of trouble all day and being set aside and basically FORGOTTEN these past three weeks for the "Kyle and Tony Show" at Gibbs, he came back and reminded everyone why he's a part of that team!

Dale Junior for having the best Hendricks finish! Whoda thunk that a couple of years ago???

That David Ragan kid! Look it up for yourself if you don't know what I'm talking about!

Kasey Kahne... after last year, this amounts to a win!

I can't find a single thing to disagree with.

I think I might have mentioned Kvapil's fine finish, though. Also the run Scott Riggs had going before things went to Hell in a handbasket.

I'm proud that Bobby Labonte is 15th in points, with only one good finish so far this year.

That is about it. Nobody I like finished worth a darn this week...

I'm proud of Roush and RCR each for having two drivers in the top 5, even if my guys (Kenseth & Bowyer) both had less than stellar finishes.

Cool Re: The: "I'm Proud Of..." Post-Race Thread

I am proud of the plain white car with the black number 28, who has no sponsor and pulled out an 8th place finish!!

I'm proud that Knaus proved himself to be a mere mortal with Johnson floundering around in a junk car.

he was in the top ten and could have easily have made the top ten in the end of the race but on lap 35 while he was sitting pretty they desided to come in and pit.that was a stupid move but they thought they were going to get a long run and was hoping labonte would be the fastest car due to his 4 fresh tires but cautions were every where and there was a caution every 10 laps.

Re: The: "I'm Proud Of..." Post-Race Thread

And Burton? He seems to be the forgotten soul these days. He's run up in the top ten or better in every race so far this season (I think), didn't always finish so well, but yet, no mention. I think he finished 5th at Vegas, but I'm not sure. Not a big fan of Ward, but always liked Jeff. I think he's falling the way of Martin. Not a media darling ... no coverage.

I guess I'm showing my age ... sad ...

On that note, DJ's got what ... two races left before leaving Cup? They didn't interview him after his final D500, which was bad enough. If they don't interview him after Bristol, which I believe will be his last race ... well ... I'm at a loss for words.

Burton's not forgotten in my eyes, seeing as he's one of my top 5. Since Bowyer was having such a craptastic day with no chance of a decent win I was cheering for Kenseth to take the win, but would have been happy to see Burton or Harvick take it. Jeff Burton is a class act in my opinion.

I hope they interview DJ at least once before his last race.

You know, you mention the word "class". That doesn't seem to be a factor today. What's the word? ... "Medidiots"? This is getting really bad. Perhaps I need to try to ignore the media, and focus on the racing. That's going to be really hard to do.

The season has just started, and I'm already disillusioned.

Re: The: "I'm Proud Of..." Post-Race Thread

Well,I'm proud of my favourite driver Paul Menard for his 2 top 30 finishes! It might not be the greatest finish but for someone like Paul its fantastic!
Daytona:22nd position and some great pit-stop selections with a nice move to advoid Gillland.
California:27th position with what seeed like a lazy car and because of that his numerous pit-stops really destroyed his position in California.
