What would have seeped out on the proposed track on Staten Island? Maybe Jimmy Hoffa? I don't know about any Midwest track being built on a land fill (That's pretty much what California is built on; the site of the old Kaiser Steel Mill) but if I 'member correctly the track at East St Louis is built on the site of a bunch of topless bars and whore houses. I have relatives living near the track in Granite City and I remember that area as being pretty bad.

Kind of like the "specialists" for road courses, or the ones for the IRL races in Japan. |
