Welcome to the 21st Century, and say goodbye to "spitting tobacco".
But really, no surprise here. Jr has his own designer label, he and all his racing buddies are multi millionaires with private: jets, yachts, helicopters, mansions, stables full of Lamborghinis and Ferraris.
Just wait till Starbucks has a coffee shop every 30 feet at your local track, and Nascar starts deploying the dreaded "fashion police".

Re: Not feeling to well.

Ah, sad but true. Racer wives are competing in fashion with football and baseball wives these days. And the guys are generally wanting to look clean and polished too, that's another price of this sport becoming high profile. Some are going to go the route of being downright dandified, but there are others that will be happy in a pair of jeans and a nice button down shirt.

In a way I can understand it. If I were the wife of a high profile race car driver, and I was at the track on Sunday before the race with the cameras everywhere, I wouldn't want to look slovenly in appearance either. Doesn't do his image any good, and I sure as hell wouldn't want the world to see me looking like that. Mind you, this is coming from a gal who is at home in Carhartts, work shirts and steel toed boots and not really a fashionista in any sense of the word. I'd probably go Delana's route and wear the fire suit on race day... especially since I'd be in the garage any chance I got. I've seen Delana pretty stylishly dressed when not in the fire suit. But she's also a business woman, so she needs to look professional.

Take a deep breath, and a bottle of Pepto, the guys and gals are going to look pretty for the camera.

Well, that's not right.

They only coffee that you should be able to buy at the track is overpriced, stale, bitter, instant coffee.

Nah, they're just looking stylishly tousled.

Gotta admit though, I've seen pics of Jeff Gordon unshaven and kinda unkempt looking in public. This was at some big shindig too, I was a bit shocked since he usually looks so GQ.

Nothing wrong with a bit of stubble now and again.

You should see my husband. He's got a beard, but the parts he usually shaves can get really stubbly too. Personally, I like a guy that's a bit 'rough around the edges'... at least they're more likely to know which end of a wrench to hold than those pretty boys.

Well, if you see a lot of "empty seats" in the stands, you can assume that those fans had nothing to wear.

The new face of Nascar, make sure you use a "coaster" with that beer.
