Alright Labonte fans! Last year I had a lot of fun with the Labonte thread, and I'm gonna get the ball rolling this year!

With very little, actually, ZERO mention, Bobby went from 23rd to 6th in his duel, so I think he is looking good for this year!

If he can actually keep a crew chief for the entire season, I think they can be a dark horse for the chase, and at worst be a top 15 car.

Let's talk it up, and have as much, if not more, fun than we did in 07 talking about the man who drives for the King!

Heading out for a couple of hours, but I hope to have some talk here when I get back!

Wellll, it doesn't like my man Ward has a ride this year so I need another favorite driver to pull for this year. There are several drivers I like but its just not the same unless I have a favorite to pull for all year. Since I still have a Labonet, Joe Gibbs racing # 18 sweatshirt I think I'll make him my favorite this year. The King was always my # 1 until he retired.

A win will happen this year. Continuity is what this team has been lacking, and I think they will keep the driver, car chief, and crew chief intact this year, and ride that combo to a couple of wins!

Thanks LSC! I am hoping for a strong run tomorrow to start things off. A top 10 would be great, a top 5would have me dancing in the living room!

Although I do believe success will be greater for Bobby this year, I really do not see him returning to PE next year. If I am correct than this is his last contracted year for PE. Kind of strange that he hasn't signed an extention yet. Usually Bobby is one to get that kind of stuff out of the way so it isn't a distraction. I think Bobby will be one of the biggest free agents this year and may be heading to the rumored fourth RCR car. Should be a fun interesting year. Who knows maybe with Joe back at JGR he could reunite to finish his career there in a fourth JGR car. We could dream right?

If PE can get thier act together, I would love to see him finish his career there, but if not, I'd like to see him in a 4th RCR car. I sort of think that his running the NW car there for some races this year is him testing the water over there.

Being a big fan of the King growing up, it has been great seeing my favorite driver in that 43, but I want to see him succeed even more!

I hope Bobby does the right thing for his career, bottom line. RCR, JGR, whatever it takes to finish up with some more wins, and some excitement for his fans!

I agree. I wonder if a deal isn't already in place with RCR. I know (well through rumors) that Richard really wants Bobby for that fourth team. I know Bobby would never skip out on PE early and would finish his contract there. Maybe that is why RCR put the fourth team on hold. Maybe he is waiting for Bobby and since Bobby wont skip out on PE early he signed him a NW contract to help develope the fourth team for next year. I really cannot wait for Bobby to either start winning with PE or try his chances else where. If it doesn't work this year I do not see him staying. I know Bobby sees PE as a second home, but lets not forget he has some friends at RCR as well, Burton and Harvick. I'm sure they are pushing hard for RCR to sign him.
