I think today's race was good news for all Labonte fans. You could tell he did not have a very good car in the beginning. This just shows that he can work with his new crew chief in making the right adjustments to get the car better. I think he had a better than 11th place car today at the end but just didn't want to push the envelope. He was pretty much in the middle of some the wrecks towards the end. Everytime he would start moving forward someone would wreck or wiggle around him causing him to loose his momentum. Now lets see what he can do at California.

I hope Bobby gives the media no choice but to pay attention to him this year. If you are up front, they have to talk about you!! That is how he will fix that problem! (I hope)

How true is that?! I'm so sick of the same drivers being talked about all the time no matter where they are in the pack.

The "Duel" was refreshing. They were all over every driver ... well, for the most part.

Beyond that, I was so disappointed that there was no post-race interview during the 500 broadcast (that I saw) with DJ. It was his last 500. He's a former winner and a former Cup champion.

Sad that the veterans, who brought the sport to where it is today, are no longer the "media darlings" ...

Oh, well ... I guess that's all be discussed before.

I was very disappointed with no DJ talk as well. And tonight's ESPN and Speed shows really didn't do much to rectify that either.

I didn't get to see every minute, but what I saw didn't give me much reason to be happy!

Well, as I said before, if you wanna be mentioned, I guess you have to get it done on the track. In a lot of ways that is fair, but I don't think a little PR for someone other than the chosen 8-10 is too much to ask.

They have done a lot of talk this season about the Petty's move, now lets talk about the possible dividends it may pay!
