| Re: Here is the 64 Million Dollar Question.... It's rigged so badly (and blatantly) that arguably the MOST POPULAR North Carolina driver in Sprint Cup failed to win one race last year and make the Chase! Oh, and it's so rigged that after NASCAR expanded to 12 the number of drivers who make the Chase in order to "facilitate" this driver making the field, he missed it by one spot! I guess it wasn't rigged enough... And how could I forget this one? It's rigged so badly that for the first time in a long time (or ever) a North Carolina driver failed to win one race last season! You'd think that with 36 races and all the "rigging" involved, a NC driver would have at least won 5 or more races? Hold on... I believe I just heard some "Black Helicopters" flying around the top of my house!!!

| Re: Here is the 64 Million Dollar Question.... Stoney I'm very confident that with minimal research I could make the same assumption about any professional sport. When you talk about the money that flows into NASCAR how does that differ with the outrageous sums of money paid to baseball players for an example. Curt Schilling of the Boston red Sox will be paid $8 million this year and may never make it to the mound. He's 41 years old. Rigged ????? Look at the amount of PED's in major league sports today. Rigged ??? NASCAR is not the sport it was 40 years ago and it will again change over the next few years and probably more after that. The series is owned by one family who will make a profit for years to come. I may agree with you that the sport is not the same but rigged .... NOT in this posters opinion. There are far to many variables for that to happen and why would the rigged system pick someone like Rick Hendricks to be its main man. I'll respect your post as an opinion that you hold dearly but I just don't see any bread under your butter.

| Re: Here is the 64 Million Dollar Question.... Nope, not at all rigged. It is run these days by folks who are out of touch with the fan base, and make some STUPID decisions, but not at all rigged! Vince McMahon could make up better plot lines than the bumbling crew from Daytona. |

| Re: Here is the 64 Million Dollar Question.... I'm good for one once in a while! It's far from too late for NASCAR to get it right. There are still tons of loyal fans out here. But they do need to start soon! The fact that there are more and more cuaual fans that get the impression things aren't on the up and up means that they have some work to do. |
