| Re: Sprint's Demise They won't be gone, they'll merge. Sears has already announced they're going to break into small groups and sell on the open market (Craftsman and Kenmore, for two). I don't like it; my generation grew up with Sears & Roebuck Yesterday Yahoo! turned down an offer from Microsoft of $31/share totally, I believe, twenty-something billion dollars. They are holding out for $36/share. Yahoo! is healthier than the writer lets on. Actually, I think the entire article is basically a "Chicken Little" piece and is typical of the type prophesying doom for our economy.

Why doesn't Dell, Hp or Microsoft sponsor a car? I want to say HP actually did sponsor an Indy car in the 500 a couple years ago, but I could be wrong. Dell? Their marketing guru's probably don't see the stereotypical NASCAR follower as a viable target. Microsoft. They'll probably just buy NA__AR, rather than sponsor a car. NA__AR needs MS more than MS needs NA__AR. Hell. Bill Gates has even more money than our esteemed moderator, Steve!!! |
