This year at the Daytona 500, moonshine returns to NASCAR in the form of sponsorship by Junior Johnson's "Midnight Moon" of Jeremy Mayfield's #70 Chevy. I can't wait to see what the paint scheme looks like. Hope it's old school.

The logo looks good. Really good, as a matter of fact.

I see only one problem... According to their website, Piedmont Distillery is a boutique distillery which distills in small amounts ( Welcome to Piedmont Distillers, Inc ). Do they have the money to make a significant contribution to the #70 team? I hope they can really help and the effort is profitable to all concerned.

I was thinking this is gonna be a one-time deal just for the 50th Anniversary of the Daytona 500. Like you say, they're not a huge company, so I doubt they have the resources or money to sponsor a car all year. I could be wrong though. I'm just glad they're doing something with Junior Johnson.
