NASCAR brass say they want drivers to be who they are

Penalties and heavy fines will not stifle drivers personalities in 2008 according to NASCAR's head man Brian France.
Tony Stewart, arguably the sport's most candid and cantankerous character of the cast, says, "I'll believe that when I see it."

Saw Helton talking about this on Speed and they have a story about it on Nascar. I agree with Tony though, I'll believe it when I see it.

Unfortunately Brian France has done as much if not more damage to the sport of racing than Tony Stewart has. Mike Helton is a mere mouthpiece for the office boyz.

I'll go with Tony on this one.

Good, I hate how all these sports wants drivers or athletes to be robotic goody goodies. I like to hear the Tony Stewart's and Chad Johnson's of the world.

They're saying this right now. But watch when Tony or Robbie say something, the fines will be coming.

Well this sounds like nothing new from Nascar. Think about when was the last time they penalized someone for saying something other than a curse word? I still think they will penalize them for cursing on the air and doing stupid stuff on track. As far as complaining and whining to the media, well I think they will just have the teams deal with it.

Yeah. When pigs fly, Brian, my boy. When pigs fly.

And apparently they backing it all up with a story on na__ar.com. Gee. I wonder how controversial THAT article'll be?

Tony is spot on. Now, I wonder if NA__AR'll fine him for making the above statement?

In an aside subject, I have been hearing all week that our boy Lollipop (Brian) kicked the recent NA__AR Media Tour off with a speech stating the NA__AR is planning on "going back to basics," this season. Does anyone out there have any firm idea what he meant by "going back to basics?"

We currently have a gaggle of political hacks and power-broker wantabes running for our country's highest office who are running on a platform of "Change." They don't explain what EXACTLY they mean by "change," either? It's the same with Brian's statement. "Going back to basics... change??" Don't be so darn ambiguous!

Now Bob... you know better... they won't fine him for makin that comment, they'll fine him for somethin totally else and not connected... like they did when he sounded off about the debris cautions. They fined him the very next day and said it was because of somethin else not his remarks ..... and for anyone that believes that I have some ocean front property in Arizona for sale

Dear Brian,

I'm sorry, but at this point in time, I can't hardly believe what you say. You lost my trust when you told Kenny Wallace on Speed TV last year, you wouldn't change anything with the CTS. So if you don't mind, I'll just watch and see what you do for a couple of years, instead of believe what you say right now.

Yours truly,

3fanforever

Yea, I'm having a pretty good day, and I didn't want to let our boy Lollipop (that's a good one Bob) rain on it for me.

NASCAR brass say they want drivers to be who they are - and the psychologist asked - "So, just who is it you think they think they currently "are"? And how does it make you feel?

And the idiot replied shortly after the hook was deeply sunk -
