Holly cow there is a God. Never quite understood why Musberger and Kolber were even on. They may be good in their respective fields but this is NASCAR. I want someone who knows the sport but isn't a loudmouth about it. I think DJ will do well. Now if Fox would just smarten up and get rid of that group of village idiots ... life might be good.

Glad Musburger is gone. Sadly Kolber is also - she was just starting to get the hang of it. Bestwick takes over from them .. not the best place for his talents, but he deserves the seat none-the-less. DJ is better than Rusty, but not sure how much better (he ain't no Ned!) But, Rusty isn't gone, just sitting in a different seat. Punch & Petree are no superstars either, but at least they don't "irritate" the viewers.

A little history here, Dustin. Alan was playing hockey and broke his leg (compound fracture). That's why he originally was off the show. Then the networks tried to add a clause to his contract preventing him from involving himself in such activities and Bestwick told them to pack sand. They showed hi (and us fans) by then keeping that pompous putz, Bill Weber.

Also, John Daley, on "Daley Planet" reports that "Inside Nextel (or what ever they call it now) Cup" now "sleeps with the fishes." (Vince Lucca, 'Godfather')

John credits the passage to other things; I blame Mikey and his incessant self-promotion for the show's demise.

I knew about the hockey thing. I didn't realize they tried to put a clause in his contract... I thought they just got pi$$ed and through him out. That was asinine(spelling)... try to tell a man he can't have a personal life.
