| Re: Dale Jarrett moving to Toyota? According to NASCAR.COM he will make the decision within the next 10 days. I'm sure, just like any other athlete, he will go wherever the almighty dollar is. As for Toyota being in NASCAR, it just doesn't feel right. This has for many, many years been the great American sport and now to see foreign cars in the premier racing organization just seems wrong to an old time fan like myself. I'm sure that as time moves on I'll get used to it and since NASCAR is considering the "Car of Tomorrow" it won't be a big deal anyway. Never the less it just doesn't feel right. |

| Re: Dale Jarrett moving to Toyota? Not me. It's still Winston Cup but I also gotta believe that there are still a few around who remember it as the Grand Nationals. I recall that name but it doesn't stand out as a big issue to me. Toyota will not be an easy pill to swallow. After that I suppose we can expect to see Honda and Nissan. Then it will be the German/European cars. I just can't see Petty Enterprises running Jags. |

| Re: Dale Jarrett moving to Toyota? It will definitely be strange with Toyota in Cup. But I got used to it in the Truck series, not that I like it, especially if Ford, Chevy or Dodge leaves. Uh oh, this just in, DJ docked 25 points, his crew chief suspended for 4 races (although they said he would be at the track this weekend 'til the appeal is heard) and fined $25K for a problem with the swaybar. Bummer for DJ, he was just out of 10th in points.

| Re: Dale Jarrett moving to Toyota? Yates was one of the most critical car owners of crew chief Chad Knaus when he was caught cheating during preparations for the Daytona 500. Knaus made an illegal modification to Johnson’s car and was also suspended for four races.Yates argued that the penalty should have been stiffer. “If there is language in the rule book about not doing that particular thing, then he ought to have to go race the Talladega short track the rest of his life,” Yates said. “If the language covers that area ... he should be gone forever. That’s just stealing.” I found the above paragraph out in cyberspace. It'll be interesting to see what Yates has to say now. Somewhere I did read that Slugger really wasn't the one at fault because there are so many specialists on each team. Never the less someone has to take the rap and it looks like it will be a combination of Slugger, Jarrett's points and Yates team points. |

| Re: Dale Jarrett moving to Toyota? I see Cup racing as one of the last TRUE AMERICAN sports. After Toyota it's just a matter of time before Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi etc. jump in. Before each race they'll probably sing the National Anthem with a karaoke machine. |

| Re: Dale Jarrett moving to Toyota? well with only reading the report here on jerrett, if it's just a wrong part then fine and point will work (although I believe if you fail post race inspection they should send you packing no point no money). now if it's a part thats hidden and meant to change the config of the car during the race for an unfair advantage then nail them to the wall. Toyota: Well unfortuneatly thier really is no longer an american car or foriegn car, most all cars are biult all over the world and owned by different companies over the world. as much as I'd like to go back to the late 80's , times change and so as the world we live inn. so you might as well bring em on and let's race!
