Re: Fantasy League

Sure, why not? I'll try running both this year.

Re: Fantasy League

I signed up for the Yahoo and Fox leagues. Now if you guys really want to have some fun you should start a pool to see who comes closest on predicting just how badly I suck at this. Just reading the rules has started a migraine. I think I need to approach this like I do bowling - just close my eyes and go for it. Somebody told me I was over-thinking this. Since I have trouble with mere thinking, let alone over thinking, you can trust me, that is not even a possibility.

Just like our weekly predictions thread, make your predictions. Use the same logic or intuition (lack of logic) as always and you'll do fine. 'Course if your weekly predictions have generally completely missed the mark, you might consider a different method of picking (coin toss, roll the dice, poll the family, etc...)

My first year in Fantasy racing, my son, daughter in law, a grandson, my nephew, a co-worker of my son and I had a private league on Yahoo. And I did .... OK: about mid pack. My daughter in law won and her method of driver selection was whoever she liked at the time .. she even missed making selections several times, but still whipped our more scientific butts! I'm proud to say, I've learned from her and have now won the family league the past two years, thought my son was leading most of last year until the Chase when I caught and passed him. And, for the past 2 years I never selected JJ as one of my drivers, and had the misfortune of selecting Mark Martin once when he was sitting the week out and had Boris the week he was on the pole but qualifying was rained out, so lost mega points on that deal.

Point is, make your picks and have fun. I can pretty much guarantee the world won't even miss a beat if you mess up.

WHAT??? You mean the world doesn't revolve around me? Well, burst my bubble. I'm going to use the same tried and true, sexist method I use for football. The boys in the best fitting fire suits get my votes. How's that for scientific!

So I guess Jacques Villeneuve won't even make the top 20?

Re: Fantasy League

I just decided to give it a shot. I've been watching races with a pretty neutral mind for a long time, but I liked the league I joined last season. This kind of stuff adds another element to them.

Re: Fantasy League

Someone needs to win the Dan's Racing League so GTG can represent with champions in three different leagues!
