Re: Ryan Pemberton leaves DEI

Looks as though Ryan signed with Mikey and will be CC for the #44, driven by Reutimann. Wow! Where did that come from? I never saw that one coming at all!

Reutimann's prospects just moved up a couple pegs, IMHO.

Paul Andrews, Bill Pappas and Ryan Pemberton - Wow.

That Mikey. He's just so dumb(?).

The best thing Pemberton has going for him at MWR is that Reutimann is new and acknowledges that he is still in a learning mode. How many times have we seen great crew chiefs teamed with already great drivers and the situation went to hell in a hand basket? Waddell Wilson and DW, Larry Mac and Dale are two which immediately come to mind. I don't see David giving Ryan that kind of grief.

Re: Ryan Pemberton leaves DEI

Now that all Toyota teams are basically JGR satellite teams. I see these moves paying off big for Mikey. If MWR doesn't improve next year then I really think Yota should pull the plug. With JGR's help their should be no reason for no improvement next year.

Pappas is going to be interesting. Did you know he's another defector from the open wheelers? He came here from CART. He was on Emerson Fittipaldi's Indy 500 team and he was JPM's crew chief when he won the 500.

Not only are we getting the drivers, now we're getting the mechanics. (He's actually the second in recent years, I believe. Graves was the first, I think)
