| Re: If I Could Drive In NASCAR I would like to have been team mates with either Davey Allison or Dale Jarrett. Both seem(ed) like nice guys who did well in their vocation as drivers. Basically even tempered and considerate of others while on the job. Wouldn't care about the brand of car. Naturally if I were a professional driver I may have had a totally different opinion about that.

| Re: If I Could Drive In NASCAR Well, all you board members who know how I feel about Big E's driving style are about to have a "say WHAT?" moment. I would want to be Dale Earnhardt, Sr.. I may not have liked his "win at all cost" style, but honestly, in the heat of competition, he is the driver who's personality fits mine the closest. Get the heck out of my way or I will help you get out of my way. I have learned to greatly curb the more volitile side of my personality, but I want to know what he was thinking. What was it like to race against your son? I mean really race, like the IROC clip in the other thread. Was he thinking "jeez, I better be careful 'cuz I really don't want to put him in the wall?" Was he thinking about going fishing the next day? Did he get a knot in his gut knowing he was going to have to take out the guy if front of him if he was going to win? And if he chose to drive hard but tried to keep it as cleanly competitive as he could, what did he think after he accidentally wrecked someone? (For the record, I don't think the majority of Dale's wrecks were intentional. I think he just plain was in the zone and whatever happened - happened.) I want to know what made this enigma of a man tick. I want to know what made him such a great driver from a mental/emotional standpoint. I want to know if he enjoyed out driving or even wrecking DW, because I'm thinking he was smiling, at least on the inside. I would be, too. Give me any crew chief, I don't care, I'll make it work if I'm Dale Sr. The next time I post I promise to keep it short.

| Re: If I Could Drive In NASCAR I wouldn't want to drive in NASCAR. Far too fantasy for me to dream about. I wouldn't want to "be" anyone in NASCAR, and probably wouldn't have the b*lls to drive competitively. However, I would hook up with a driver (no, not any driver), and join the series tour in a heartbeat! Tony's single, right? Ah, but I guess he's spoken for by Lilsexy! I wonder if Jr. likes older women. I don't mind him being the boss, and I know racing comes above all else. Another fantasy I guess. But man, I would have loved to spend a month with Dale Earnhardt. Hang with him and his family, at his business, his farm, go fishing with him, listen to his old stories, set up some kick*ss passenger seat for me to run a real race at Daytona and Talladega with him, get inside his head. Like many others, I always thought I'd get the chance to meet him someday, if only for a fleeting moment. Alas, that chance is gone.
