| NASCAR driver's dad allegedly scammed A man accused of scamming the father of a NASCAR Busch Series driver from McKinney out of hundreds of thousands of dollars received seven additional charges of perjury for giving false testimony during his criminal and civil trials. Adulmalik Ado-Ibrahim, who has several aliases, including Malik Ado-Ibrahim, Malik Ibrahim and Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim, received seven third-degree felony counts of aggravated perjury from a Collin County grand jury last week stemming from alleged false statements he made during the pre-conference portion of his earlier felony trial and his civil trial, according to Collin County court records. An earlier grand jury indicted Ado-Ibrahim, 43, back in March on a first-degree felony count of theft over $200,000 and a second-degree felony count of securing execution of a document by deception and filed the case in 380th District Court. The Collin County District Attorney's Special Crimes Unit alleged Ado-Ibrahim stole about $625,000 from Robert G. Richardson Sr., of McKinney, father of Busch Series driver Robert Richardson Jr., by promising they would be deposited into a Bank of America trust account that did not exist. -- McKinney Courier-Gazette Star Community Newspapers |

| Re: NASCAR driver's dad allegedly scammed Wonder if the trust fund was for his son? Richardson Sr. has a history of paying to much for "stuff"... Several years ago, Richardson, Sr. paid $80,000 for "pumper" engine for his son's Late Model to race in a ROMCO series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Richardson Jr. smoked the field and took home the $3500 1st place prize money. Some say his dad "bought" the race. The next week the engine was put up for sale .. for $50,000 .. no takers. Periodically it shows up in the racing classifieds with the same results, most recently last year. The reason nobody wants the engine is two fold: 1) an equivalent motor can be built by most racing engine shops for around $40K and 2) there's very few if any places to race which still allow such a motor. Now, if you have a hot rod that you'd like to put a screaming motor in, this would be a good one .. as long as you realize it doesn't go slow very well, you'd be paying a 20% premium and it's a used race engine (no guarantees or warranties.)
