I may eat these words a year from now, and I can name a few of you who will shove these words down my throat 'til I choke, but JJ's reign will fade. There's a lot of good drivers out there. There was a time when Gordon also won two Championships in a row ( 97/98 ). Then, he won in 2001. That was the last time. I'm sure Gordon will get another Championship, but two in a row doesn't mean Johnson is untouchable.

New blood at the top? Sure. I'd be happy with just "different" blood right now!

I like the Blood that is on top and that type is HMS or JJ. You better like that blood top because HMS is going to the type of season next or maybe better they might win the Daytona 5OO, The All-Star race, The Brickyard, and the Coca-cola 600, and a championship with Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon or maybe Dale Jr.

Now why doesn't that statement surprise me coming from you drnascar48? And, no, I don't have to like that blood. Many people don't ... as shown by the tracks that no longer sell out and the decline in television viewers.

It makes my blood boil that Jr. is now an HMS member. When I cheer for Jr., it will be just that, for Jr. The same way I cheered for Jr., not DEI.

I feel like Jr. has joined the Mob! However, I'll follow Jr. no matter where he goes.
