If you think about it, every team has drivers that made the team what it is today. Well, I'm hardly a shallow fan, and I like Jeff Gordon because it seems to be highly fashionable to jump on the "I hate Gordon" bandwagon. So I'll go the opposite route instead of the "follow what the cool crowd does" route. I keep looking to find clips or quotes to explain why JG and JJ are so hated. I know Q thinks they're stuck up snobs and I'm sure there are instances where they, and all other driver's at some point have been. I just don't see any consistancy to their perceived "stuckupedness", any more than any other driver and less than many. I can't say I love JG or JJ, that's for sure, but I find I stick up for them more and more because the more they win, the more they get crapped on, deserved or not. I can't really even call them favorites of mine. I like routing for the popularity underdogs, especially in a family that has an over abundance of Stewart and Jr. fans. Holidays together prove interesting.

As for the Gordon bandwagon(s), I have never jumped on either one, for him, or against him. I'm not the bandwagon type. Hell, I even like Jimmy Spencer and Michael Waltrip!

Long story short, first I liked Gordon as he came up, then he became a whiny baby, nothing was ever his fault, so then I didn't like him. Recently, he's somehow matured, admits when he screws up, and I don't hate him as much as I used to. However, I will never cheer for him, nor will I purchase his novelties. But I do wish he took this year's title from Johnson.
